There have been a few questions concerning the pricing structure for the new version of billQ, so here's the deal: below you will see a screen shot of the new prices.

New Pricing Structure

As you can see, the Free Version now has a limit on the number of schedules and groups you can have. This version is ideal for users without a ton of bills, or those just getting started with billQ.

The paid version, billQ Plus, has some more advanced features like SSL security, reports for your full history of paid bills, the ability to export those reports, and less restrictions on the number of schedules and groups. This plan is designed for billQ power users who have a higher number of bills, and who want to do some more extensive expense management.

We tried to make this structure as simple, and as distinct as possible, so that users without a lot of bills can take advantage of billQ and scale up as their finances become more complicated, and power users can have access to a premium service for a small monthly price.

But one thing we hate is retroactive pricing changes (yeah, we're talking to you Blockbuster Online), so current billQ users will get access to a special Legacy plan once they migrate their account to the new version. The Legacy Plan will allow for 25 Schedules and 15 Groups. This way, no current user will be suddenly left without a feature they previously had, and no user will be forced to upgrade because their number of schedules or groups exceeds the new quota. Of course, we hope that some of the new features will be enough to warrant an upgrade, but that burden to provide the extra value is on us.

That being said, the new pricing structure will apply to all new users. The Legacy Plan is strictly for our long-time users, as a way to say: "Thanks for the support."
